"### The entire Kanshudo Japanese writing manual

**

### Using Kanshudo's [Japanese writing](https://www.bloggors.com/ideas-good-writing-japanese) manual
**
The basic strokes required to draw all Japanese kanji, how to figure out a kanji's stroke order, the distinctions between printed and handwritten kanji, and more are all covered in this tutorial. There are also lots of links to our kanji drawing practice tool, which will help you hone your personal writing style.
1. Why study Japanese writing?
2. The typical kanji drawing techniques
3. Recognizing the strokes and sequence of kanji characters
3. Katakana and hiragana
5. Japanese written by hand versus printed
6. The Kanshudo kanji drawing training program
7. The game Kanji Draw
8. Additional Reading

### **1. Why study Japanese writing?
**
Why should one learn to write kanji is one of the most frequent queries we receive. Since they are practically ubiquitous, computers and cellphones make it quite simple to create whatever persona you require. Even if you have to write the memo by hand, you can easily look up the kanji on a smartphone first if necessary.
Our response is straightforward: learning to write kanji will help you remember them more efficiently than any other method. We can pretty much ensure that you won't forget a kanji if you can truly recall its constituent parts and write them down by hand. Writing invokes "muscle memory," which uses an entirely different part of your brain and then works in tandem with the part of your brain that handles recognition. Purely recognition-based approaches are a great first step and are quick and effective, but they do not take into account the fact that writing invokes "muscle memory." Learning to write will help you read, just as [speaking Japanese will enhance your listening abilities](https://www.bloggors.com/mistakes-not-to-make-when-writing-a-letter-in-japanese).
A comprehensive strategy is required for good (and efficient) language learning; you must simultaneously focus on reading, listening, speaking, and writing. You will learn the kanji and Japanese more quickly and effectively if you learn to write.

**
### 2. The conventional brushstrokes for drawing kanji.
**
The good news is that all kanji are simply combinations of the same set of fundamental strokes, even the most intricate ones. You will quickly begin to understand how more complicated kanji are constructed if you study and practice each of these fundamental strokes by writing simpler kanji that employ them. You will then be able to see how to draw any kanji as a result.

**Why is it important to understand what a stroke is?**

The term "stroke" () refers to a single pen or brushstroke. In other words, you start sketching with your pen while it is on the paper, and when you pick it up, the stroke is finished. Of course, you could copy the shape and draw any kanji. But over the course of thousands of years, the art of Japanese calligraphy, or, has developed a standard method of drawing each character that is optimal for speed of writing, attractiveness of the final product, and the ability to be condensed in handwriting.
the common strokes
The 23 strokes that make up all Jy kanji are listed below, along with some examples of kanji that utilise them. Each illustration is connected to the corresponding kanji's drawing tutorial page (see Section 6 for information on how to use the drawing practice tool). Where you begin drawing the strokes is indicated by the dots.

**- VERSION FRENCH**

### Tout le manuel d'écriture japonais Kanshudo

**
